ListServ
INTRODUCING
.
The Suburban Ramsey Family Collaborative ListServ
What's a ListServ?
A vehicle for using your internet e-mail address as a means of sending
mail to all of the SRFC members who subscribe to the list. When you
send mail to one single address of our LISTSERV, the LISTSERV will make
copies for all the people who subscribe.
Why would I want to subscribe to the SRFC ListServ?
The ListServ will be one way to share resource information with collaborative
members with one key stroke. It's also a way to stay updated regarding
SRFC collaborative meetings, functions, and updates. Another benefit
is that members can ask questions of one another and learn from each
other through e-mail dialogue. A question and answer format has been
proven useful when collaboratives are trying new ideas and seeking input
from other 'best practices'.
Why wouldn't I want to subscribe to the SRFC ListServ?
You may already feel inundated with e-mail messages, and at this time,
may not want to take part in the SRFC dialogues over this e-mail function.
In the future, you can always subscribe to the SRFC ListServ if you
feel it warrants your use of time. Additionally, this ListServ is a
very public and open dialogue vehicle. All ideas presented out to the
ListServ will be viewed by all subscribing to the ListServ. Sometimes,
organizations or groups choose ONE member to subscribe to the ListServ
and they serve to route appropriate e-mails to one another as needed.
